UPDATE: Man charged after two CTrain fires

Calgary police have charged a man with arson after two fires overnight on CTrains.

Damage is estimated at $10,000.

Police were called to the Chinook LRT station shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

They say a man had damaged several seats in a CTrain car with a lighter and then set fire to some paper and other items.

Police used security camera video to track the man and a suspect was arrested downtown.

During the investigation police discovered there had been an earlier fire on another CTrain.

A  man in his 30’s has been charged with arson, damage to property and mischief to property over $5,000.
