“I guess live shows aren’t my thing,” he said in a message posted on his website.

Bay was the special guest at the unveiling of Samsung’s new Curved 105-inch UHD TV but walked off the stage after struggling to improvise a conversation with Samsung Electronics America president Tim Baxter.

Bay said the TelePrompTer was malfunctioning.

A video of the awkward moment quickly went viral.

“Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES,” the Transformers director explained. “The prompter went up and down – then I walked off.”
