Edmonton – A 70-year-old man has been charged in a double homicide northwest of Edmonton.
Westlock RCMP received a call from a home in the community of Busby, which is 70 kilometers northwest of Edmonton.
When officers arrived at the home they found two deceased men.
Police believe 46-year-old Kevin Boles and 37-year-old Curtis Perrin were shot and killed.
Alvin Boles was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with the Second Degree Murder of Curtis Perrin, the manslaughter of Kevin Boles, as well as the Use of a Firearm during the Commission of an Offence and Careless Use of a Firearm.
“Investigators advice that he was cooperative through the investigation,” said Sgt. Jesse Valiquette, RCMP, K Division.
The RCMP has told Global News Kevin Boles was the son of Alvin Boles.
Police say Perrin was an acquaintance of both Kevin and Alvin Boles.
“Both the accused and one of the deceased lived there. The other one was visiting. Mr Perrin was visiting the residence,” said Sgt. Valiquette
Autopsies on the two bodies were tentatively scheduled for Monday.
The RCMP Edmonton Major Crimes Unit and Edmonton Forensics Identification Section assisted Westlock RCMP with the investigation.
