The Vancouver Canucks will skate Saturday before heading to Calgary for tomorrow’s afternoon game against the Flames, however the team will be without Roberto Luongo as he nurses a lower body injury.
Eddie Lack will take over the goal as Luongo recovers from what is likely a groin strain, however the team hasn’t specified what the injury is. He is listed as day-to-day.
Luongo was injured after a collision with Dustin Byfuglien during Sunday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Canucks coach John Tortorella said he has total confidence in Lack, who has won six games this season against some of the top teams in the league, including impressive road wins in St. Louis and Chicago.
Last year, Lack missed most of the season recovering from hip surgery.
Twenty-three-year-old Swedish goalie Joacim Erikkson has been called up from the Canucks’ farm team in Utica to play as Lack’s backup.
Erikkson, playing his first pro season in North America, has been on a 4-0 roll after a slow start this season.
The Canucks goaltending and defence has been stellar in the last month, allowing just 15 goals in 11 games while rolling up an impressive 9-1-1 record.
