CALGARY- Drivers are being urged to avoid some southern Alberta highways, due to extremely windy conditions.

A number of semi-trailers blew over on Highway 22 on Friday, blocking the road about 20 kilometers north of Highway 3.

Those who do need to travel south should use alternate routes.

A blowing snow warning is also in effect for Lethbridge, Milk River and Taber.
