Good News Bears raise more than $166,000

Thanks to the generosity of our viewers, the CHBC Good News Bears campaign has once again been a huge success.

This year’s campaign has raised more than $166,000.

All proceeds go directly to 24 food banks across the Okanagan-Similkameen to stock Christmas hampers for the less fortunate.

The hand-crafted teddy bears are sponsored by local businesses and service groups.

Anyone who makes a donation to the program is entered in a draw and is eligible to win a bear.

The program is one of the most successful annual fundraisers in the Okanagan and has raised more than $3 million over the last 20 years.
