Employees at the North Shore Winter Club have been locked out by their employer for more than seven months.
But after a tentative agreement was reached on Dec. 23, with the assistance of a mediator, CUPE 389 employees will be returning to work.
Members voted 91 per cent in favour of ratifying the agreement this morning.
“We are pleased to have reached a no concession deal just in time for the holidays. CUPE members are eager to get back to work so they can return to providing services at the club,” says CUPE National Representative John Strohmaier.
The new deal expires June 30, 2015 and CUPE 389 members will receive a five percent wage increase over the next 18 months.
