Peterborough police have located and arrested the suspect in connection to the fatal shooting on Friday morning. No other suspects are being sought.
Geoff Riley, 37, of Peterborough was charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.

Police say one man is dead and a suspect has been identified but remains at large following a shooting in Peterborough, Ont., early Friday.
Around 5 a.m., Peterborough Police Service officers responded to a reports of gunshots at the Sunshine Homes property on Crystal Drive. The Peterborough Housing Corporation property consists of 12 buildings.
Police say a 32-year-old man was found at the scene with gunshots wounds. He was transported to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
Officers were told the suspect had fled the area.
In a media conference at 12:30 p.m., police said they have identified a suspect and are currently searching known locations.
Initially police closed off the Crystal Drive area to conduct an area search including the edge of the north side of Hwy. 115. Officers also utilized the canine unit and a drone to assist in the search.
The incident and police search also prompted a hold and secure at nearby St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School and Otonabee Valley Public School.
The area was reopened around 11 a.m. and both schools had the hold and secures lifted, police reported.
“We believe this is an isolated incident between parties that are known to each other,” police stated. “We also know the suspect at this time is still at large and may be in possession of a firearm.”
