A video supplied to Global News shows a blaze at a Toronto highrise Wednesday morning that sent a man to a burn unit with serious injuries.
Toronto Fire Services said they were called at 8:30 a.m. to a residential building in the area of Black Creek and Trethewey drives.
The video obtained by Global News shows police at the scene as flames pour out of a window and black smoke rises from the scene.
One patient was located in the lobby and transferred to the care of paramedics, TFS said.
The two-alarm fire was extinguished and crews ventilated the building.
Toronto paramedics told Global News a man in his 30s was taken to a burn unit with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.
There is no word on what may have caused the fire.
