Three young girls, aged seven to nine years old, were out playing in the woods on Saturday afternoon when they made a grisly discovery.
“Well my oldest daughter came running in, stating that one of her friends ended up finding a body behind the shed,” says the father of two of the girls.
He says his initial reaction was that they were telling stories, so he went to investigate.
“I went back and what I seen was a lady lying on her side, one hand off, and a bit of blood on her hand,” says the dad.

When he saw the blood, he called the police.
The victim is 44-year-old Kathleen Suzanne Alford of View Royal on Vancouver Island.
Based on an extensive analysis of the investigational findings, including the results of a forensic autopsy, investigators have ruled out the involvement of foul play in Kathleen’s death.
As there is no evidence to indicate criminal involvement in this death. This case is now being led by the BC Coroners Service.
According to the victim’s neighbors, the body was found very close to the townhouse complex, which is filled with young families. Residents are shocked this happened close to their homes.
The father of the young witnesses says his daughters are very shaken up. They couldn’t sleep last night.
