MONTREAL – The families of murder victims are frustrated that one of Canada’s most notorious serial killers is back in the limelight.

Clifford Olson is scheduled to appear before the National Parole Board today for a review of his parole eligibility.

The last time he tried, in 2006, he was quickly denied.

It is highly unlikely the child-killer will ever see life outside of jail again – but some family members say they want to be there in person today just to make sure.

The families of some of his 11 young victims, killed in the early 1980s, say Olson shouldn’t be allowed any time in the spotlight.

This year he became embroiled in a clash with Ottawa when the government tried to strip him of his pension.
