CALGARY – Service Alberta is warning consumers against dealing with a door-to-door salesman who may be operating in the province.
Lloyd Schell runs a water filtration company called Vin Water Systems, and was convicted in September of operating without a direct selling licence.
He was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $1,500 restitution.

He has also been banned for 15 years from door-to-door sales by Consumer Protection B.C.
Service Alberta warns consumers not to enter direct sales contracts with Schell.
Anyone who bought items from him can file a complaint.
Door-to-door sellers in Alberta must be licensed by the provincial government. Consumers can cancel a direct selling contract within 10 days and must receive a refund within 15 days of cancellation.
