FREDERICTON – The fall session of the New Brunswick legislature will end earlier than expected.
The house had been scheduled to sit until Dec. 20, but government house leader Paul Robichaud says instead the session will end on Friday.

He says major issues such as debate on reforms to public pensions are complete.
Opposition house leader Bill Fraser says the government rammed the pension bill through and aren’t allowing debate on the new prescription drug plan before the Christmas break.
The legislature will resume Feb. 4 with the tabling of both the capital and operating budgets for 2014-15.
They will be the final budgets before the provincial election to be held on Sept. 22, 2014.
