Christmas may still be a few weeks away but Winnipeggers will have a chance tomorrow to tell the “big guy” if they’ve been naughty or nice.
The 101st edition of Winnipeg’s Annual Santa Claus Parade will light up Downtown Saturday starting at five o’clock and ending with a visit from Santa himself.
The night will wrap up with fireworks and entertainment at The Forks.
The parade begins at the corner of Portage Avenue and Young Street and will travel east down Portage to Main Street, where it will turn south, eventually ending at the intersection of Main and Water.
Barricades will go up on Portage Avenue at 3 p.m. while Main Street will be closed off to traffic at four.
Transit schedules will also be re-routed while parking will be prohibited on surrounding streets.
