RCMP respond to 2-vehicle collision on eastern outskirts of Edmonton

A highway overpass near the eastern edge of Edmonton was blocked on Monday morning as emergency crews responded to a crash.

The RCMP told Global News that officers were called to the area of Anthony Henday Drive and Highway 14 at 8:06 a.m.

They said two vehicles were involved but did not have further details.

A spokesperson for Alberta Health Services told Global News that paramedics took one person to hospital. They did not provide details about their injuries but said they were listed as being in stable condition.

A Global News crew spotted police, firefighters and paramedics at the scene.
