TORONTO – As thousands of Ukrainian protesters continue to call for the government’s ouster over the president’s decision to ditch a deal for closer ties with the European Union Monday, Thailand’s prime minister says the demands of anti-government protesters are unacceptable under the constitution.

Below is a look at some protests currently ongoing in many cities and countries around the world.

Protesters shout and wave flags marching towards government headquarters in downtown Kiev, Ukraine, on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013. Hundreds of Ukrainian protesters have blocked entrances to the government building and called for the ouster of the prime minister and his cabinet. The Monday blockade followed a massive rally in the capital a day earlier by hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians angered by President Viktor Yanukovych’s refusal to sign a political and economic agreement with the European Union and opting instead for closer ties with Moscow. (Photo credit: AP Photo)

France:French policemen take position as trucks block a section of highway A25 in Englos to protest the “ecotax,” a controversial tax on heavy vehicles, on Dec. 2, 2013. French President Francois Hollande’s government has already been forced to suspend the planned introduction of a new environmental “ecotax” on commercial vehicles carrying cargo of more than 3.5 tonnes after violent protests in Brittany, a predominantly agricultural region in northwestern France. Opponents of the tax, which critics say unfairly penalises remote areas dependent on deliveries by road freight, are demanding it be scrapped altogether. (Photo credit: Getty Images). Getty Images
Honduras:Riot policemen stand guard as supporters of Honduran presidential candidate for the Libertad y Refundacion (LIBRE) party, Xiomara Castro, protest against the results of the presidential election in Tegucigalpa, on Dec. 1, 2013. Officials said late Saturday that conservative Juan Orlando Hernandez defeated his rival, leftist presidential hopeful Xiomara Castro, by eight percentage points in the Nov. 24 election. Castro rejected the results of the election and called for mass protests claiming there was a “monstrous fraud” in the crime-stricken Central American country.  (Photo credit: Getty Images).
