Two-time GRAMMY award-winning instrumental band BADBADNOTGOOD performs as part of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 7:30 pm at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, 630 Hamilton St., Vancouver. BADBADNOTGOOD’s expansive music straddles the line between ’70s soul-jazz, alternative hip-hop, and experimental electronica. The Toronto group first gained attention in the early 2010s, playing jazzed-out covers of tracks by the likes of Odd Future, MF Doom and A Tribe Called Quest. Since then, they’ve built a catalogue of vivid, hooky originals and collaborated with hip-hop, dance, and neo-soul artists like Ghostface Killah, Kaytranada, and Kendrick Lamar.
