Hyatt Regency Vancouver’s 30th Gingerbread Lane Anniversary

The Hyatt Regency Vancouver has hosted Gingerbread Lane for 29 years. This year, we plan to kick off our 30th Year with Vancouver and the rest of the Greater Vancouver areas, plus our local and international guests staying in our flagship. The Lane will officially open on December 2nd, 2022, with a series of weekend events planned and unveiled via social media platforms, plus hopefully TV stations. As this is a free event, in return, we ask everyone to come to see the many gingerbread houses display for donations that will benefit the Make a Wish Foundation. Families, local businesses and schools make these houses. The participants’ houses will be displayed during the event. Professional Pastry Chefs will judge the houses from the Lower Mainland. An afternoon to celebrate the participating “bakers’ (amateurs, professionals, schools) will be hosted by the Hotel. And a People’s Choice Award to be unveiled the last week. These are our tentative events to take place in the Hotel: Dec. 1st: Kick Off in the Lobby with the Hotel’s GM, Staff, Make a Wish Foundation Reps. Dec. 2nd: Lane opens to the Public. Dec. 3rd: The Saint Thomas Moore Collegiate Choir will perform at 3 p.m. Dec. 4th: a Pop-Up store for boxed Gingerbread Character cookies will be sold to guests visiting the Lane. Time- TBC Dec. 17th: Holiday Brunch in the Mosaic Restaurant of the Hotel at noon with a live Fairy and Elf. Santa – TBC There will be a selfie wall, a selfie frame, and many different vignettes showing our love for the season. We would love for your TV Crew to also come and capture this special milestone for the Hotel’s Holiday tradition. We are excited to hear from your good office and help us share this 30th Anniversary!
