Start your day with Distress Centre on Thursday, September 22 and participate in the Lend An Ear virtual event along with special guests Ron Maclean, CBC Sportscaster, Olympic Gold Medalists Catriona Le May Doan and Stephanie Labbe, and performance psychologist, Dr. Karen MacNeill. Join Distress Centre Calgary and get rejuvenated during this inspiring breakfast event in support of Distress Centre’s 24/7 mental health and crisis services.

Individual Tickets are only $50.00 – Breakfast Experience Tickets are $75.00 (gift card included for breakfast). Your morning will include a variety of interactive Coffee Corners with special guests dropping in on the conversation as well as a variety of Rise and Shine activities to get you ready for your day.

Speakers:

Ron MacLean brings more than 30 years of award-winning experience to his roles as host of Hockey Night in Canada and co-host of Rogers Hometown Hockey. MacLean also hosted 10 Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, IAAF World Championships, World Cup of Hockey, the Calgary Stampede and Queen’s Plate.

Catriona Le May Doan is a Two–time Olympic gold medalist and World Champion in speed skating, a CBC commentator, author, motivational speaker, recipient of the Order of Canada, Chef de Mission for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, and a mum of two. Catriona is presently President and CEO of Sport Calgary.

Stephanie Labbé is a 2020 Olympic gold medalist goal keeper for women’s soccer team and mental health advocate.

Dr. Karen MacNeill is an internationally renowned performance psychologist works with Olympians and Fortune 500 executives to be their best.

Distress Centre Calgary (DCC) provides 24 hour crisis support, professional counselling, youth peer support and referrals through 211 and our programs at SORCe – all at no cost. For over 50 years, Distress Centre has served Calgary and Southern Alberta, ensuring everyone has a place to turn in times of crisis.
