The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Competition is coming to Abbotsford on August 24, 2019. It is the 30th Anniversary of this prestigious event and the first time in its history that it will be held in B.C. We are excited to have over 35 contestants (by invitation only) flying in from all across Canada to compete. Fiddlers from as far away as PEI to the Yukon will be joining us. Further, fiddle fans will be travelling far and wide to attend the event and hear Canada’s best up-and-coming fiddlers as they compete for the $3,500 grand prize and the coveted title of “Canada’s Grand Master Fiddler”! The event will be held at the Abbotsford Arts Centre, starting with a concert and old time dance on Friday, August 23 (featuring Daniel Lapp, Calvin Vollrath, Patti Kustoruk and more!), and commencing with the competition on Saturday, August 24.
