On February 11th, the Mountain View Connection Concert Series presents a Valentine’s Day weekend concert that evokes the tangos of Argentina, the French songs of the Paris salons, and chamber music about love and mystery. The tangos of Piazzolla evoke faded memories of past loves and mysteries, and the lush Phantasie piano trio of Frank Bridge fills the evening along with songs of Debussy and Mendelssohn. The concert features upcoming soprano Brittany Rae with some of Calgary’s finest chamber musicians, violinist Anita Dusevic Oliva, cellist Olena Kilchyk and pianists Charles Foreman and Kathleen van Mourik. Tickets include a wine and cheese reception.
