Britannia Mine Museum invites families to experience Monsters, Machines & Mischief, happening October 17–18 and 24–25, 2026! This playful, family-friendly Halloween adventure brings the fascinating world of mining to life with a mischievous twist. Climb aboard the underground train for a special Halloween Underground Tour, investigate unusual machine malfunctions through interactive challenges, and meet six colourful Monster Machines inspired by real equipment used in historic and modern mining. The fun continues above ground with live science demonstrations, spectacular pumpkin experiments, gold panning and the award-winning BOOM! show inside historic Mill No. 3. Located along the Sea to Sky Highway between Vancouver and Whistler, it is a Halloween adventure filled with exploration, discovery and just the right amount of mischief.
