Celebrate the beauty and bounty of Kelowna’s backyards at the Flower Power Garden Tour, a self-guided showcase of eight stunning private gardens happening Saturday, June 14 from 9 am to 4 pm. This year’s theme, inspired by Communities in Bloom, is Edible Gardens—and many of the featured spaces creatively demonstrate how to grow your own food, even in small urban settings. From lovingly tended vegetable beds to permaculture designs and community sharing gardens, you’ll find inspiration for sustainable, edible landscaping at every stop. Tour highlights include a whimsical garden with a Hobbit House-turned-root cellar, a fire-smart sanctuary with panoramic lake views, a 3-acre farmstead with rescued plants, a Ukrainian tribute garden blooming in blue and yellow, and more. Along the way, connect with 10 gardening experts, enjoy live demos, and shop handmade treasures from nearly two dozen local artisans and crafters. Whether you’re a seasoned green thumb or just planting your first tomato, this is a garden experience not to be missed. Partial proceeds support the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre of Kelowna.
