The Saskatchewan Aviation Museum is celebrating FAMILY DAY once again by giving families a break. $10.00 gets your family in the door for an aviation adventure. Individual admission will be reduced by 50% to $5.00. FAMILY DAY is a great day to try new things. The low price is our way to encourage people that might not normally have it in their budget to try us out.
We wish to encourage others to share our passion for aeroplanes. We have interactive exhibits, such as a helicopter that you can climb into (pictures and selfies look great!). We have many antique military training aircraft, and aircraft restoration projects on the go. Many of the aircraft on display in the museum are ready to fly and they are part of an active aviation hangar. In the summer, people can also experience a real flight experience in a vintage 1942 open cockpit biplane trainer aircraft. We also have a King Air 100 Flight Simulator (made from a real airplane) that people ages 12 and older may try. The simulator gives the experience of actually starting up a multi-engine turbine airplane, taxing around the airport, then flying it with an experienced commercial pilot. (You are invited to come try it out if you like, and it could perhaps be some footage to share the experience…) FAMILY DAY is still relatively new, and we think that it can be celebrated well by spending time with people who are passionate about aircraft.
