Join the Calgary Civic Symphony as they match festive wits with Calgary’s favourite a cappella ensemble, the Heebee-jeebees. Nothing celebrates the holiday season quite like their whimsical versions of your favourite festive songs. The concert also features some classical favourites including Bach’s ever-popular Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Richard Strauss’s charming Serenade for Winds, and seasonal audience favourites including Radetzky March by Strauss and Sleighride by Leroy Anderson. The Civic Symphony also welcomes Edmonton pianist Jaydon Zhuang, one of the Grand Prize winners of the national finals of the 2023 Canadian Music Competition, to perform Liszt’s dazzling Piano Concerto No. 1.
