Global Edmonton’s Kevin O’Connell delivers the weather forecast on Global News Morning and Global News Hour at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on the weekends.
Kevin began in broadcast career in Red Deer, Alberta in the 1980s. In the early 90s, he moved to co-host ITV First News (now Edmonton’s Global News Morning).
Kevin is involved with community organizations such as SCARS and his interest in music and theatre keeps him busy with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and local musical theatre and drama groups. He also conducts the Edmonton Police Service Chorus, which performs at city and police events, graduations, memorials, and Christmas concerts around Edmonton.
When he is not delivering the weather, he enjoys attending dinner and wine pairing groups with his wife and hosting friends and family.
