John Streit
Morning News Anchor CKNW 980
Born and raised in Vancouver’s West End, John is a graduate of BCIT’s Broadcast Journalism Program and currently Anchors Global News radio weekday mornings from 530 a.m. to 11 a.m. on 980 CKNW.
Prior to joining 980 CKNW, he worked in Vernon, BC as a reporter, anchor and colour-commentator with the Vernon Vipers. He moved back to Vancouver to anchor/produce at CKWX, and then a writer/producer for the morning and evening news at CITY TV.
When he is not working, he enjoys hockey, cycling, pitch and putt, thrifting and exploring Metro Vancouver.
