Surrey RCMP say a wheelchair-bound man is recovering from serious injuries after he was struck in a hit-and-run. In an unfortunate coincidence, this is the second time this has happened to him.
19-year-old Jonathan Forero was hit on Tuesday evening around 6 p.m. at 132nd Street and 95A Avenue. He was with his girlfriend at the time.
He suffered broken bones and serious injuries, according to RCMP.
Foreo was already in a wheelchair as a result of the first hit-and-run.
The driver fled the scene.
Police say parts were recovered from the scene of the crash, possibly from a purple import sedan such as a Honda Civic.
The vehicle may have front end damage on the passenger side.
