How to tell the difference between a cold and a flu


Flu season has started with several cases of influenza A reported around B.C., including at least two children who have been hospitalized.

The flu vaccine is your best form of protection, offering up to 70 per cent protection against illness. For more information on the flu and symptoms, you can visit the BC Centre for Disease Control website. 

And Health Canada puts out a weekly flu watch report, posted every Friday, with details on flu activity across the country. 

Many pharmacies offer flu vaccines including London Drugs.
