Do you make the same salary as someone doing your job in a big city? For most of us, the answer is no, but that isn’t the case if you are a professional firefighter in Kelowna. They have wage parity with their counterparts in Vancouver. As we first told you last night, that results in nearly 30 of them making at least $100,000.
The union says they deserve every penny and as Robert Buffam found out, it’s a perspective shared by many local taxpayers.
