CALGARY- A sudden thunderstorm rolled into Calgary on Thursday afternoon, drenching the downtown core.
The bad weather began around 5 p.m., resulting in numerous lightning strikes around the city.
Booming thunder was heard, and rain began pouring down, drenching commuters on their way home.
Environment Canada did not issue a severe thunderstorm warning for the city of Calgary, but did for other areas in southern Alberta.
