Calgary police have charged a 28-year-old man in the case of a woman who said she was held captive for several weeks in the northeast community of Skyview Ranch.
On Wednesday, officers were called to a business Skyview Ranch Road N.E., where a 27-year-old woman alleged she had escaped from a nearby home.
She claimed she had been held against her will for up to three weeks and was physically and sexually assaulted during that time.
Police have charged Troy Lemke with uttering threats, assault, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault and forcible confinement.
Police say the victim and the accused had been in a relationship earlier this year.
