RCMP
confirm that the deaths of two Vernon area residents was the result of a murder
suicide.
Police
were called to the Hartnell Road home in rural Vernon early Monday morning
following reports of shots being fired.

Police
recovered two bodies from the home.
They’ve
been identified as Sheena Neifer, 29, and Gregory Neifer, age 30.
Police
say Gregory shot Sheena before taking his own life.
They had
two young children and were in the house when the shootings occurred.
There was
also an adult relative in the home.
Police
say Gregory Neifer had previous dealings with the police but not in the North
Okanagan.
