Premier Kathleen Wynne is scheduled to be in Dundas Monday night.
She will attend a nomination meeting at the Dundas Town Hall at 7 p.m. where longtime MPP Ted McMeekin and city councillor Judi Partridge plan to officially announce their intentions to run in next year’s provincial election.
McMeekin will run in the realigned riding of Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas while Partridge will run in Flamborough-Glanbrook.
McMeekin was elected to Queen’s Park in a byelection in 2000 and has held cabinet positions in both the Wynne and Dalton McGuinty governments.
Partridge has said that she plans to keep her seat on city council while campaigning in the June 2018 election.
Wynne’s Liberals will attempt to stay in power in a provincial legislature that will grow from the current 107 seats to 122 next year.
