Major updates are on the way for Burlington’s recreation infrastructure.
The federal government has announced an investment of $598,430 through the Canada 150 program.
The money will be dedicated to 14 projects, including ice resurfacing at Mainway and Appleby arenas, as well as improvements to washroom facilities at several parks.
Mayor Rick Goldring says many of these updates will focus on accessibility.
“These projects are critical for Burlington to be an inclusive city,” he said.
The projects are expected to be completed by March 2018.
