The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) major crimes unit is investigating after a man’s body was found on Highway 13, between autoroutes 440 and 640.

The man has been identified as 34-year-old Kellen Soew.

Quebec’s provincial police received a call around 11:30 a.m. about a person who was “seriously injured” on the highway.

The man had passed away by the time officers arrived, according to SQ spokesperson Joyce Kemp.

The death has been considered suspicious and Kemp confirmed the man had been kidnapped from a nearby Tutti Frutti.

Crime scene technicians and car collision experts are on the scene.

The northbound lanes of Highway 13 have since been reopened.
