Canada wide warrant issued for B.C. man with Alberta connection wanted for sexual offences

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for sexual offences that allegedly happened in Prince George, B.C. more than 20 years ago.

Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for Rupert William Burr, 55, who has been wanted in B.C. since 1998 for offences that allegedly happened in 1993.

RCMP said they don’t know where Burr is, but he was born in Alberta and is believed to have stayed in Worsley, Alta. as recently as 2015.

Worsley is about 650 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.

Police believe he may be using a false name.

Burr is 6’0 tall, 221 lbs, green eyes, brown hair, with scars on his left wrist and the bridge of his nose.
