A 24-year-old Florida man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly broke into his neighbour’s house, hid under a little girl’s bed, and left her a sexually explicit note.

Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Hanggigoble, 24, on Monday in Naples, Florida after an 11-year-old girl discovered him hiding under her bed.

According to the police arrest record, the girl was getting ready for school Monday morning when she discovered the man hiding under her bed. Upon finding the man, the little girl ran from the room and screamed for her mother. The two then fled the apartment while the mother dialed 911.

When police arrived they discovered the man had fled the apartment, but not before leaving a sexually explicit note scrawled on a piece of cardboard reading “Stay home! Play with your vagina all day!”

According to police arrest records, when confronted by officers a short time later, Hanggigoble admitted he had been in the apartment but claimed it was “borrow a ratchet set.” He told police that he knocked and entered when nobody answered.

The arrest record also details complaints by the family of past instances of what they said was inappropriate behaviour.

The identity of both the girl and her mother are being withheld at this time.

According to Collier County arrest records, Hanggigoble was charged Monday with aggravated stalking or cyberstalking of a minor younger than 16 and unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling. He was taken to the Naples Jail Center, and bail has been set at $100,000 USD.
