A teen in suburban Atlanta was kicked in the head while playing soccer and awoke from a three-day coma speaking fluent Spanish, according to a report.
Reuben Nsemoh, 16, was playing goalie for his club team when he was kicked in the head, forcing the high school student to leave the pitch in ambulance.
“The ambulance came and they said he was having seizures because he might have bleeding in his brain,” Nsemoh’s coach Bruno Kalonji told WSB Radio.

Kalonji told WSB-TV his player stopped breathing several times.
Nsemoh awoke three days later in the hospital, unable to communicate in English but instead, speaking Spanish, even though he was unable to use the language before.
Nsemoh guesses he may have learned it through osmosis.

“My friends would always talk to me in Spanish and would teach me,” Nsemoh told WSB Radio.
“I wasn’t perfect, but my brother is a really fluent Spanish speaker. So he kind of inspired me with that too.”
Nsemoh is still suffering the aftereffects of the concussion, his third.
“Sometimes I daze out. Sometimes I feel like I’m not there, but I am,” Nsemoh told WSB-TV.
Friends have set up a GoFundMe page to help with the hospital bills, which now top more than $200,000 US.
