It’s Week 15 in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and there’s still a chance the Saskatchewan Roughriders could make the 2016 playoffs.

With five games left in the regular season, the team’s only hope of making the post-season will be in the crossover.

The Riders are currently 3-10 but sitting in front of them are the Edmonton Eskimos and the Toronto Agronauts. Saskatchewan trails the Argos by four points and the Esks by six.

To secure a playoff spot, the Riders need to win at least four of their final five games as well as get some help. If Edmonton wins two of its remaining games or Toronto wins three of theirs then Saskatchewan is out.

The Riders need to finish with more points than the third-place team in the East Division to get the crossover. In the event of a tie, the Eastern team advances.

“We had our chances to catch Edmonton the two previous games earlier this year that we let slip away. We’re going to need some help but all we can do is what we can do and let’s try to win every game from here on out,” Riders quarterback Darian Durant said after their win this past weekend.

“I didn’t really have any expectations … but at the end of the day, I knew that we had the type of players that could be a successful football team. I can see where we’re going, what we’re building and we’re still in the playoff hunt.”
