A little love bird found on the windshield of a N.B woman's car just might be a lost love bird named Olive from Montreal – Aug 29, 2016

There’s a possibility a love bird who went missing from its Montreal-area suburb more than a month ago has been found in Quispamsis New Brunswick, just outside Saint John.

Suzanne Vincent says the small parrot-like bird landed on her windshield wiper August 19, appearing to be exhausted.

Vincent managed to get the bird inside the house where she fed it and found it a cage.

Through research and many contacts on Facebook, Vincent believes there’s a good chance the bird belongs to Gabriel Frenette of St. Bruno.

Suzanne Vincent posted on Facebook after a small love bird landed on her windshield on August 19. She now believes the bird is named Olive, and belongs to a woman in Montreal.

Frenette’s love bird, Olive went missing several weeks ago. The the small bird found in New Brunswick answers only to that name.

It also bears what appears to be an exact resemblance to the missing bird from Quebec. It has similar eating habits as well.

Olive’s bed is being sent to Vincent, which could be further proof that the bird found by Vincent is Olive from Montreal — Olive is apparently very attached to her bed.

“I guess Olive loved its bed and I’ll know whether or not this bird responds to that bed,” Vincent said.

Frenette says the only way to know 100 per cent if the small bird in New Brunswick is actually Olive is to hold her in her hands.

Vincent says the goal is to get the bird back to its rightful owner.

“It’s a love bird and they mate for life, and so it’s important for me to find out whose home this bird really belongs in,” Vincent said.

They have yet to get to that point, but all signs so far seem to suggest that a love bird lost may have been found, meaning there could be a heartwarming reunion between a 14-year-old love bird and her mother, some 900 kilometres away.
