Okanagan weekend forecast

Friday, August 26, 2016 – Weather forecast update at 4pm:

The last week of August will feel more like September with cooler conditions.

Although sunny breaks are still possible over the weekend, a cold front will move across the Southern Interior tomorrow. Showers are likely for the northern regions, possible for the central regions, but the extreme southern portions will stay mostly dry.

Because of the variable weather conditions, we are expecting a large temperature range throughout the Southern Interior this weekend.

On Sunday, a weak ridge will keep most of the region dry and only isolated showers are expected.

We are uncertain about what is in store next week, but we are leaning towards an unsettled weather pattern as an upper trough stalls over the Pacific.
