Fire crews rushed to South Vancouver early this morning to keep a temple from going up in flames.
The fire was reported at the Sikh Temple on Ross Street near Southeast Marine Drive around 2 a.m.
At least four fire trucks were called to the scene.
Reports say large amounts of smoke were seen billowing from the back of the building. The damage is not very visible from the outside but officials say it is quite extensive inside.
A couple was set to get married at this temple this weekend. They will now have to scramble to find another venue.
