It may be the quintessential Canadian photobomb.

Prime Minister Justin Tudeau unwittingly found himself in the background of a wedding photo on a beach in Tofino, British Columbia this week, wearing little more than the bottom half of a wetsuit.

“#Trudeau moves out of the way for a bride coming onto the beach to be married,” wrote Marnie Recker, the local photographer who took this photo, on Twitter.

“When the Prime Minister of Canada accidentally photo bombs a wedding, he does it with impeccable timing and in full Tofino spirit,” she added on her Facebook page.

Predictably, it caused a storm on social media.

For her part, Recker says she’s hopeful to meet the Trudeaus.

The shot came just days after another shirtless photo of Trudeau went viral, when he took a selfie with a family after coming out of a cave in Quebec’s Gatineau Park.

That resulted in Canadian satirical websites lampooning the Prime Minister’s summer vacation.

Call it a case of life imitating art.
