An elderly man is dead and a man in his 50s is in custody after a stabbing at a Brampton home.
Peel police were called to the residence in the area of Fleetwood Crescent and Clark Boulevard around 12:29 Wednesday and found the victim in life-threatening condition.
They took one person into custody and said there are no other suspects.
Police later announced that the homicide squad has taken over the investigation.
They say the elderly man died in hospital.
There’s no word yet on any charges and police aren’t saying whether the two knew each other.
Police called it an “isolated incident” and that there was no public safety risk.
