One man has been arrested and another suffered serious injuries in a shooting that turned into a traffic accident in West Kelowna Tuesday evening.
Police were called to Hudson Road just before 10:15 p.m.
“Initial information gathered at the scene so far indicated that the victim met with a man on a bike who produced a firearm and fired multiple rounds into the victim’s vehicle. During the confrontation the suspect was struck by the vehicle,” wrote Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey in a media release.
The 48-year-old West Kelowna man who was shot at sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Police said they found a 29-year-old Kelowna man hiding nearby and arrested him.
“The RCMP believe that this was a targeted incident, not a random attack,” O’Donaghey wrote.
