The march is slated for August 13 in Kelowna.

Fuhr is a former pilot with the Royal Canadian Airforce.

“We wanted to make this year really special as our theme is We Are One and so we simply had to invite members of the Etcetera LGBTQ+ Youth Group to join as our Junior Grand Marshalls to walk with MP Stephen Fuhr,” said Okanagan Pride Society president, Sydney Lawson.

“This is a wonderful and important opportunity for them to see their government stand with them. It’s going to be very impactful and possibly emotional to see,” Lawson said.
