A weather advisory has been issued in southwest Saskatchewan for possible funnel clouds on Saturday.
Environment Canada said an area of low pressure will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. As these storms develop, conditions will be favourable for funnel clouds.
The federal agency said one was already seen near Plenty.

These types of funnel clouds are generated by weak rotation and are normally not a danger to those on the ground.
However, there is a chance that rotations could intensify and become weak landspout tornadoes, which can be dangerous.
