WINNIPEG — Mathieu Perreault will continue to suit up for the Winnipeg Jets for several more years.
The forward has signed a four-year contract extension securing his spot on the team through the 2020 season.
The deal kicks off next season and is worth an average $4.125 million a year.
“His game is an infectious game,” general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff said. “He’s a guy that likes the puck on his stick and make plays. Good on the powerplays. Can play centre, can play wing. Has shown his versatility in a lot of different areas.”
Perreault was signed by the Jets as a free agent in 2014. His contract was set to expire at the end of this upcoming season.
He had 41 points in 71 games last season.
