Winnipeg Blue Bombers release DE Louie Richardson

WINNIPEG – Louie Richardson’s days as a Winnipeg Blue Bomber has come to an end.

The CFL club cut the Canadian defensive end Monday morning. Richardson played 21 games with the Bombers since 2014. He racked up nine defensive tackles, 13 special teams tackles and two sacks during his time in Winnipeg.

Richardson started this season on the Bombers’ practice roster. He played university football with the Manitoba Bisons.

The Bombers have also added American defensive back, Terrence Frederick to their practice roster. Frederick had 17 defensive tackles in three starts with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints in 2014.
